Many people are getting more interested than ever in the business of sport fishing and capturing this business on video has become a hot commodity in the sportspersons world. People are flocking to video stores to rent all the latest tales of man and the sea; the stories of people overcoming nature and fighting for their very lives with the great beasts of the sea will always intrigue us.

Bass fishing video stores might start opening up next with large sections of both smallmouth bass and largemouth bass related video clips to fill up the aisles bigger than Blockbuster Video. This new technological age certainly favors the bass fishermen and anglers that are willing to start taping their adventures on the high seas or in the low peaceful lakes.

There is also the bass fishing video that serves to inform the fisherman. I'm talking, of course, about the instructional videos that usually feature a few people in a boat telling you how to fish and what bait to use on what line. Usually the anglers end up reeling in some of the biggest fish you've ever seen, but I think there’s a deeper reason to that: I think the fish are planted in the lake and that someone swims underneath the boat and attaches the fish to the hooks. Call me a cynic, but nobody catches fish that big, that often.

It is a possibility that I may be overestimating the bass fishing market and its desire for videos, but time will tell on that account. I can only offer what I know, and what I know is simple: bass fishing sells. It is exciting and represents the classic adventure story. How can you go wrong with that?
