Bass Fishing Game Is One Of The Most Favorite Pass Times In The World

Fishermen all over the world love bass fishing game and they compete with each other every year in tournaments and other specially organized events. Most of the fishing events use the 'catch and release' method where the fishermen catch the fish and then they release it back into the water. The bass fishing game is nothing but catching bass. Sometimes this is done in groups where they can compare and declare a winner, and sometimes it is done solitaire. Both are equally enjoyable.

To enjoy a good bass fishing game, one should understand the bass

Bass is one of the most popular fishing targets among all the fish put together. Maybe because this fish is clever, large, and makes for a great catch. The bass originates in USA where it was first fished extensively for food. Around the mid 50s, the bass became an accepted game and one of the most favorite pass times to date.

Largemouth bass

There are a great number of bass species all over the world. However, no bass grows larger and is more fun to catch than the largemouth bass. This fish was actually introduced across the world by the US Wildlife Department. Since the United States is the home of this fish, most the bass fishing game tournaments are held in the USA. The fish mostly comes from Japan and South Africa. There is another large size bass which lives only in Australia, called Australian bass. There are no largemouth bass in Australia, but they still hold fishing tournaments for their species of bass.

The best part of the bass fishing game is not catching it but stalking it

The bass is a very tricky fish which makes it so much fun to be able to catch it. There are quite a few things you should know when you venture out to catch bass, more so if you are fishing in a new location:

· You should be able to read a map comfortably
· You must be able to understand and identify different water depths
· You must be familiar with the seasonality of the bass
· You should learn how to locate the bass based on the water temperature
· You must know how o fish in clear water and how to fish in muddy waters
· You must be able to identify the bass from the position of the shoals of small fish moving around the water body
· Know the best time to fish for the bass in which season - morning, night or day time
