Bass fishing boat and safety

Safety should always be the first and foremost concern for any activity. In the course of time, more accidents happen because the minimum requirements for safety are taken very casually. A word of advice: never climb on a boat unless you have thoroughly been convinced that it has been checked and it is safe for sailing.

Some basics for boat safety

· Do not engage a motor of a higher power than your boat is supposed to support
· Do take up he basic safety boating course which most of harbor offer
· Ensure that the pedestal seats on your bass are lowered to a comfortable position (especially in front)
· Always wear safety inflated jacket and whatever equipment that is required for your safety on board
· Check before you start the trip that all the clothing, loose hanging things as well as your tackles are properly secured
· Ensure that your 'engine cut-off switch" is working; never go before checking this
· Do not go for fishing under the influence of alcohol
· Ensure that you keep the minimum distance between your boat and other fishermen's boats.
· Take any warning signs you find in the water very seriously
· Do not fish and drive the boat at the same time; you may loose control of boat and you may suffer a lost fish or a life-threatening accident

Bass fishing boat tips for best positioning

· If the place has a deeply submerged structure, then you should position the boat right on the top of the structure at a ninety degree angle.
· If the fish is near the bank, then position your boat parallel to the bank
· If you are in front of a steep vertical construction make your boat parallel with it
· If you are faced with strong current stabilize the boat by using both front ad rar anchors
